义乌装饰城的前身是浙中木材市场装饰材料经营区。2005年，随着市场形势的变化，公司决定对场地利用率相对不够充分的原木经营区进行全方位升级改造，建设一个全新的现代化装饰城。扩建提升后的装饰城拥有营业面积21000平方米，仓储面积5000平方米，经营户167户，主要经营灯具、防盗门、木地板、木线、装饰小五金、墙纸、橱柜、地毯、装饰玻璃等，进场的大多是国内外品牌产品，省级以上名牌和国家免检产品达92个，其中中国驰名商标6只、中国名牌产品12个。这些知名品牌的进入，有效地提高了市场档次、扩大了市场外向度、提升了市场的整体竞争力。

 Yi Wu Decoration City was formerly known as Decorative Material Zone of Zhe Zhong Wooden Material Market. In 2005 with the change in the market the company decided to implement overall upgrade in the Wood Zone where the area was not fully utilized to build a new and modern decoration city. After upgrade the Decoration City owned an area of 21000 square meters, warehousing area of 5000 square meters where there were 167 business units. The market was mainly dedicated to light, security door, wooden flooring, wooden lines, decorative hardware, wallpaper, cabinet, carpet and decorative glass. The major brands are well known in the domestic and foreign market. Ninety two brands are famous provincial brands or exempted from national inspection. There are six famous Chinese brands and 12 Chinese name brands. The entrance of these brands has effectively improved market level, expanded market extroversion and whole competitiveness.

 2006年初，义乌原有的宾王家具市场因义乌市整体市场布局调整的需要，计划搬迁。公司根据义乌市政府精神，制订了“一次规划，临时过渡，整体搬迁”的方案，决定筹建浙中地区规模最大的专业家具市场。在新家具市场建成前，原宾王家具市场临时搬迁到义乌市经济开发区新科路标准厂房A区过渡经营，目前共有营业、仓储面积近40000平方米，经营户94家，主要经营办公家具、红木家具、套房家具及沙发系列等几十个品种数千种款式的产品。
